This is Charlie and ‘sailor Lab‘ on Trouberdour in NSW Australia. The Champagne platter is neatly balance on my centre case top board and the facia sides to the casing.
This was among many pieces of Lugger joinery, fittings and parts that I supplied Charlie with in his attempt to put the proper finish to his Mk 3 Lugger fitted out, exported and supposedly ‘ready to Sail’.
Not quite sure which of the companies was involved in this transaction of well over £20K.
It was the 2022/23 transitory period when Churchouse Boats Ltd were more or less insolvent and in February of 2023 the Directors ditched the company CHB Ltd and used another of the Directors companies Drascombe Brokerage Ltd to create the new ‘ Phoenix’ company Drascombe Boats Ltd, which to date is still trading.
Unfortunately for Charlie he was left with. New Lugger cobbled together with whatever fittings came to hand. Even the ‘New Tiller’ that was supplied had already started to De laminate.
But Charlie is now a over the moon with his Lugger and all that JLJ supplied and exported to NSW for his later re-fitting. Champers on deck and the icing on the cake is Charlie and his wife are joing DD Ltd in the Ionian Sea in 2026!!!
