Whilst my Lugger charter with accommodation and airport transfers are progressing smoothly, I have this summer introduced a short duration charter period for visitors to the area who sail generally at home but just wanting to try out a Lugger whilst on holiday to the Nydri area. This fits in perfectly with my mooring base now on the Eucalyptus Pontoon. It has good parking in the road, and leaving and departing off the beam-to berth is so easy.
My minimum duration of charter is 3 days, which includes 4 hours or a morning with myself on board the boat giving instruction on rigging the boat, illustrating where everything is kept on the boat and importantly the full safety procedure.
Stefano was a typical case, he was holidaying in the area, was attracted by the boats on the pontoon which reminded him of sailing when he was young and with a young daughter wanted her to experience the sailing for a few days before returning to Dubai where he worked. I will certainly look to carry on this other side of Dragon Drascombe’s business model in the coming summers.
